Project Manager, EGIA Utility Services

Originally from the East Coast, Jack Lema, is new to the SoCal region by way of Denver. Currently, he is a Project Manager at EGIA, where he coordinates and develops various utility efficiency programs and projects. He has over 6 years of experience in sustainability and resource efficiency. He acquired a B.S. in Environmental Science from Moravian University and a M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. He has worked in various fields ranging from solar energy, city planning/sustainability, water efficiency, building efficiency, and utility efficiency programs. As he continues to explore SoCal, Jack’s mission is continue developing efficiency programs that will directly impact and improve the environmental prosperity of all SoCal residents.

Krista Guerrero

Program Manager, SoCal Water$mart Turf Replacement Program

A Southern California native, Krista Guerrero has over 17years of experience in the drinking water industry. She holds a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida. She began her career as a hydrogeologist for the South Florida Water Management District working on water use and conservation issues. She has worked on a range of issues including source water protection, storm water management, water efficiency, water quality, and water resource management. Most recently, she was the program manager for the Long Beach Water Department’s award-winning Lawn to Garden Program and a water resources manager focusing on long-term water reliability. She specializes in outdoor conservation and is currently the program manager for Metropolitan Water District’s Turf Replacement Program.

Chris Garcia

Environmental Resources Planner, Inland Empire Utilities Agency

Chris Garcia serves as an Environmental Resources Planner for the Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA), a wholesale water supplier and regional wastewater treatment provider serving approximately 875,000 people. Chris is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing IEUA’s regional water use efficiency programs on behalf of its nine retail member agencies. Chris has been with IEUA for four years and holds a Grade 1 – Water Use Efficiency Practitioner Certification from the CA-NV AWWA. Chris has a dual bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography.
